11-Party Unity coalition begins long march from Dhaka to Chittagong

The 11-Party Unity coalition, led by Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, has launched a long march from Dhaka to Chittagong. The march commenced on Saturday morning following an inaugural rally at Shapla Chattar in Motijheel.

The coalition is demanding the implementation of referendum results, justice for the July massacres, and solutions to crises regarding electricity, oil, gas, and fertilizer. Other demands include curbing the rising prices of essential goods, stopping corruption and extortion, improving law and order, and ending narrow political partisanship.

The march is scheduled to include public meetings in Narayanganj, Cumilla, and Feni, before concluding with a final rally at Laldighi Maidan in Chittagong. During the opening rally, opposition leader Shafiqur Rahman stated that the movement would continue until the rights of millions are established.
