18-Year-Old Killed in BMW Crash on Croatia's A1 Highway
An 18‑year‑old driver died in a fatal traffic collision on the A1 highway near Jastrebarsko, Croatia. The teenager was operating a BMW without a driver's licence and attempted to avoid a rear‑end collision with a Hungarian‑registered Opel Astra driven by a 56‑year‑old Hungarian man. The BMW veered onto a soft shoulder, struck a fence and two trees, and came to rest. Police closed the southbound carriageway of the A1 between the Jastrebarsko and Donja Zdenčina interchanges for investigations. The victim’s body was transferred to the Zagreb Institute of Forensic Medicine.
