1860 Munich debuts interim kit and adopts historic crest amid investor dispute

TSV 1860 München will begin the 2026/27 season wearing a special white transition kit because the official jerseys from new supplier Societas are still in production. The interim shirt replaces the traditional lion emblem with the historic football‑department logo (FA) that the club filed with the Bavarian Football Association.

The change follows a legal dispute with former investor Hasan Ismaik, who retained rights to the octagonal lion logo after the club terminated its cooperation. After a forced relegation from the 3. Liga to the Regionalliga and a €2.7 million deficit, the club created its own GmbH to secure professional football. The special kit will be used in the opening Bayernliga match against TuS Geretsried and in the Bavarian Cup first‑round match versus SV Eintracht Berglern.
