Turkey to co-host 2026 CEV Women's European Volleyball Championship

The 2026 CEV Women's European Volleyball Championship is scheduled to take place from August 21 to September 6, 2026. The tournament will be co-hosted by Turkey, the Czech Republic, Azerbaijan, and Sweden.

Defending champions Turkey, known as 'Filenin Sultanları', will begin their campaign in Group A at the Sinan Erdem Sports Hall in Istanbul. Their group stage opponents include Latvia, Slovenia, Hungary, Germany, and Poland. The Turkish squad, led by head coach Daniele Santarelli, features key players such as Melissa Vargas, Eda Erdem Dündar, Zehra Güneş, and Hande Baladın.

The tournament features 24 national teams divided into four groups. While group stages are held across the four host nations, the final stages, including the quarterfinals, semifinals, and the final on September 6, will be held in Istanbul. Mastercard has announced its support for the event as a presenting sponsor.
