2030 World Cup preparations advance in Spain and Morocco

Preparations for the 2030 World Cup are intensifying as Spain and Morocco advance different aspects of their hosting bids. Rafael Louzan, president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation, has advocated for Spain to host the tournament's final match, despite competition from Morocco for the honor.

In Morocco, the development of the Grand Stade Hassan II in Benslimane is seeing significant financial scale. While the stadium's construction budget was initially estimated at 5 billion dirhams, the total value of contracts related to the site and its surrounding infrastructure has reportedly reached approximately 13.6 billion dirhams. The planned stadium is designed to hold 115,000 spectators, inspired by traditional Moroccan tent designs.

Infrastructure spending is expected to rise as Morocco, Spain, and Portugal prepare to co-host the tournament. Recent developments in Morocco include the relaunch of a 277.5 million dirham contract for stadium seating following an unsuccessful initial bidding process.
