25‑year‑old driver arrested in Argeș for driving with suspended licence

On 8 July, police from the Rural Police Station Stâlpeni stopped a vehicle on DJ 731D near Valea Nandrii in Argeș County. The driver, a 25‑year‑old resident of Dărmăneşti, was found to be driving while his licence was suspended. The car also lacked a valid compulsory motor insurance (RCA) policy.

The officers opened a criminal file for driving without the right to do so and issued a fine for the insurance violation. The vehicle’s registration certificate was retained and the licence plates were removed in accordance with Romanian traffic law. Investigations remain ongoing to determine any further circumstances surrounding the offence.
