3CX announces V20 Update 10 Release Candidate

3CX has announced that V20 Update 10 is now in the Release Candidate stage. This update introduces several key features for business telephony, most notably AI-based call transcription and analysis that can be executed locally on compatible Apple Silicon Macs. This allows client conversations to remain on the company's own hardware.

Technical improvements include enhanced control over IP phone firmware and custom templates. Administrators can now import manufacturer firmware, assign it to specific devices, and schedule updates to minimize workflow disruptions. The update also improves template management, allowing users to create, copy, and export configurations without full device reconfiguration.

Additional client-side enhancements include the ability to access the Windows Softphone using Google or Microsoft 365 credentials, as well as new options for selecting outgoing numbers from the Softphone or Web Client.
