3sat announces programming for 2026 Frankfurt Book Fair

The broadcaster 3sat has announced a dedicated programming weekend for the 2026 Frankfurt Book Fair. The coverage includes a literary gala titled ‘Buchzeit – Die Literaturgala’, scheduled for October 10, featuring hosts Thea Dorn and Denis Scheck alongside authors such as Eva Menasse, Lutz Seiler, and Peter Wohlleben.

In addition to the gala, 3sat will provide daily livestreams and various program summaries, including ‘dein buch. Das Beste von der Frankfurter Buchmesse 2026’, which compiles discussions from the literary stage. The programming will also feature discussions on new releases and presentations of the German Book Prize and the ‘aspekte’ Literature Prize. The Czech Republic is designated as the guest country for the 2026 fair. ZDF will also participate by broadcasting material from the joint literary stage.
