5-Year-Old Alexandru Rescued After Two Days Lost in Sibiu Forest

A five‑year‑old boy named Alexandru disappeared in a forest near Sibiu and was missing for more than 40 hours. Search teams, aided by precise GPS coordinates, located him, provided first‑aid, checked for hypothermia, and transported him in a thermal rescue bag to a rescue helicopter.

He was taken to the Clinical Pediatric Hospital in Sibiu, where doctors found only mild pneumonia and several tick bites, with no serious complications. After a short stay, Alexandru was discharged to his family, who plan a celebration for the volunteers and rescuers who helped in the operation.
