64-year-old Bucharest man dies near Vârful Caraiman in Romania

A 64-year-old man from Bucharest died near the Vârful Caraiman peak in the Bucegi Mountains on 14 July 2026. According to Salvamont Prahova, the victim suffered a cardio‑respiratory arrest; rescue teams attempted resuscitation but he was pronounced dead on the scene.
