65‑year‑old Italian suspect in Aigio double homicide faces court deadline

Greek police have charged a 65‑year‑old Italian man with the double murder of a 54‑year‑old mother and her 26‑year‑old son in the Loggos district of Aigio on 9 June 2026. The suspect is accused of homicide in a series, illegal weapon possession and related offences.

Forensic evidence includes a large kitchen knife that yielded no fingerprints, a hunting shotgun (flomber) with a cartridge found in the victims’ home, blood‑stained clothing, and a laptop bearing the mother’s blood fingerprint.
