72 hours without compromise volunteer project expands in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina
The '72 hours without compromise' volunteer project is organizing its upcoming editions in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, focusing on youth-led community service and solidarity.
On the island of Krk, Croatia, the 7th edition of the project is scheduled for October 15–18. Aimed at individuals aged 15 to 35, the initiative involves various social, ecological, and labor-based actions. Volunteers participate in tasks ranging from renovating spaces for those in need to supporting local associations and environmental projects. A unique aspect of the Krk event is the element of surprise, as specific tasks are not revealed to participants until the start of the project.
In Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Archdiocese's 'Ivan Pavao II.' Youth Pastoral Center organized its 9th edition of the project in late September. This iteration engaged 1,400 volunteers across 65 different projects. Participants from the 'Petar Barbarić' Catholic School Center contributed by renovating school grounds and working at the Memorial Center in Šiljevište to preserve the birthplace of Peter Barbarić.
