72 hours without compromise volunteer project
Overview
The ‘72 hours without compromise’ volunteer project, which focuses on youth-led community service, social, and ecological actions, has expanded its reach across Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In late September, the project held its 9th edition in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where 1,400 volunteers engaged in 65 projects, including renovating school grounds and working at the Memorial Center in Šiljevište. In Croatia, preparations were underway for a 7th edition on the island of Krk, involving surprise tasks for participants aged 15 to 35.
By mid-October, the initiative mobilized approximately 3,500 volunteers across more than 20 Croatian cities and towns to complete 450 actions. Notable activities included 20 different tasks in Slavonski Brod, such as cleaning and collecting donations, and a tenth-anniversary celebration in Sinj, which featured creative workshops, ecological work, and support for the elderly and families in need.
