88-year-old arrested at Palonegro Airport, Colombia, on homicide charge

An 88‑year‑old man was detained at Palonegro International Airport in Bucaramanga after Migration Colombia detected an active judicial alert in his documents. The alert related to an aggravated attempted homicide conviction issued by a Bucaramanga court.

National police officers, alerted by the migration officials, verified the man's identity using biometric and background‑check tools and took him into custody. He was handed over to the Fiscalía General de la Nación and transferred to a detention center to begin serving his sentence.
