A Coruña tourism brand “A Paisaxe que Sabe” wins Mediaset Gourmet Tourism award
The Diputación de A Coruña unveiled the tourism brand “A Paisaxe que Sabe”, a program that ties local food production and restaurant offerings to the province’s cultural heritage. The initiative promotes iconic Galician products such as percebes de O Roncudo, pimientos de Padrón, queso Arzúa‑Ulloa and the patata de Coristanco, presenting them as a sensory window onto the region’s history and landscape.
The campaign was honoured with the Premio Gourmet Turismo Gastronómico, presented by Mediaset’s Planes Gourmet programme. In accepting the award in Madrid, vice‑president Xosé Regueira highlighted the slogan “comemos lo que somos”, stressing that the cuisine reflects the identity of A Coruña and supports sustainable tourism and the local agri‑food sector.
Organisers say the accolade underlines the province’s strategy to use gastronomy as a driver of economic growth, environmental preservation and cultural promotion, encouraging both visitors and residents to experience the region through its distinctive flavors.
