Galicia gastronomy tourism initiative

Entities: Deputación da Coruña · Y para comer Lugo · A Paisaxe que sabe · Turismo de Galicia · Xunta de Galicia

Overview

In late July 2026 the Diputación de A Coruña introduced the “A Paisaxe que Sabe” brand, linking local food products—such as O Rocundo mussels, Padrón peppers, Arzúa‑Ulloa cheese and Coristanco potatoes—to the province’s cultural heritage. The programme was recognised with Mediaset’s Premio Gourmet Turismo Gastronómico, underscoring its role in promoting sustainable tourism and regional identity.

A week later the Deputación da Coruña expanded the effort, launching a summer tourism drive that encourages visitors to sample the same signature foods while exploring the landscape. The initiative is also being highlighted at the 2026 Vuelta a España, where a dedicated “Y para comer Lugo” stand will showcase Galician specialties to an international audience, further cementing gastronomy as a key attraction for the region.
