A1 Motorway: Night closures between Orte and Orvieto

The A1 Milano-Napoli motorway will undergo night closures on the section between Orte and Orvieto heading towards Florence to facilitate maintenance work on the median barriers of the bridge over the Tiber River at the Santa Maria location.

Closures are scheduled for the nights of August 19 and August 20. During these periods, the Orte and Attigliano stations will be closed for entry towards Florence. Service areas Giove est and Tevere est will close early, while heavy vehicle parking areas will close starting from 18:00 on the preceding evenings.

Alternative routes are advised for travelers. Short-distance travelers may use the SS675 towards Viterbo, the SS2 Cassia towards Montefiascone, and the SS71 to rejoin the A1 at Orvieto. Long-distance travelers can take the SS675 towards Terni, the E45 Superstrada towards Perugia, and the Bettolle-Siena link to rejoin the A1 at Valdichiana. Vehicles exceeding 10 tons are prohibited from using the SP20 road in the Bomarzo area.
