A15 motorway reopened after overnight truck collision near Oostvoorne
A collision between two trucks on the A15 motorway near Oostvoorne resulted in one driver being injured and transported to the hospital by ambulance. The accident occurred during the night between Tuesday and Wednesday near hectometer marker 28.3.
Reports indicate that one truck overturned and rotated nearly 180 degrees after being struck by another vehicle during an overtaking maneuver. The second truck involved reportedly suffered three flat tires. The incident caused a complete closure of the A15 from the Maasvlakte area, necessitating traffic diversions and buffers managed by Rijkswaterstaat.
Emergency services attended the scene to address potential entrapment. Following recovery operations, which included uprighting a container from the overturned vehicle, the A15 was reopened to traffic on Wednesday morning, though heavy traffic was noted near the Europoort.
