A2A to invest 600 million euros in Milan infrastructure for 2025
A2A has released its Territorial Sustainability Report for Milan, detailing significant economic and ecological commitments for 2025. The company plans to invest over 600 million euros in infrastructure and services within the Metropolitan City of Milan, representing a 24% increase from the previous year. This investment includes 250 million euros dedicated to electrical networks to support electrification and decarbonization.
In 2025, A2A expects to distribute 1.3 billion euros across the territory through supplier orders, labor costs, dividends, taxes, and concessions. Since 2016, the company’s total investments in the Milan area have exceeded 3 billion euros. Additionally, A2A reported 900 new permanent hires, primarily targeting workers under the age of 40.
CEO Renato Mazzoncini highlighted the company’s focus on renewable energy, noting that since 2023, A2A has offered retail and SME contracts based exclusively on renewables. These fixed-price contracts are designed to protect customers from geopolitical volatility and fluctuations in fossil fuel prices.
