A5 motorway accident near Ettlingen injures six people

A three-car collision on the A5 motorway near Ettlingen, specifically near Bruchhausen, resulted in injuries to six people on Friday afternoon. The accident occurred around 1:00 PM when one vehicle struck another, causing both to skid and collide with a third car.

Among the injured are four adults and two children, though the severity of their injuries has not been fully determined. Emergency services, including a rescue helicopter, responded to the scene.

The collision caused significant traffic disruptions, including a seven-kilometer backlog. The motorway was fully closed between the Ettlingen and Rastatt Nord exits for accident investigation and cleaning. The road was eventually reopened following cleaning operations late in the evening. Police estimate the property damage at approximately 50,000 euros.
