A6 motorway accidents in Germany cause severe injuries

Two separate serious traffic accidents occurred on the A6 motorway in Germany, resulting in severe injuries.

In Sinsheim, a 36-year-old driver was critically injured after a truck veered off course and struck a stationary vehicle on the hard shoulder. The impact pinned the driver between the car and the truck, requiring rescue by firefighters. The truck driver was uninjured, and the accident caused lane closures during the investigation.

Near Öhringen, a truck transporting dangerous goods overturned after veering off the roadway. The driver sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to a hospital. Emergency services established a 150-meter danger zone, and the motorway was closed in both directions. To clear the site, the cargo required transfer to another vehicle, a task involving BASF. A secondary collision involving four vehicles also occurred on the opposite side of the motorway, resulting in one minor injury.
