A73 motorway closed near Ewijk for maintenance

Rijkswaterstaat will close the A73 motorway in the southbound direction between the Ewijk junction and the Wijchen exit from Friday, October 23, at 21:00 until Monday, October 26, at 05:00.

The closure is necessary to complete major maintenance work, which includes applying a new asphalt top layer and replacing a expansion joint. These works were previously postponed due to poor weather conditions in the autumn of 2025.

Motorists should expect delays of up to twenty minutes. Traffic for Beuningen and surrounding areas will be diverted via the N847, while through traffic will be rerouted via the N326, A326, and A50. Rijkswaterstaat advises travelers to plan accordingly.
