AADE distributes 22 million euros in aid to 4,882 Greek farmers
The Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE) has disbursed approximately 22 million euros in de minimis state aid to 4,882 agricultural producers in Greece. The payments are intended to support farmers affected by adverse weather conditions and production losses.
The aid covers three primary categories: rice producers nationwide who suffered weather-related damages in 2025 (receiving 70 euros per stremma), fruit and other crop producers who saw production decreases of over 30% due to the 2021 frost, and producers in the Ioannina regional unit affected by 2025 drought conditions.
Professional farmers registered in the Registry of Farmers and Agricultural Holdings receive 100% of the aid, while other eligible recipients receive 50%. The maximum aid is capped at 50,000 euros per business over a three-year period. Payments are processed digitally via the myBusinessSupport platform, with funds being offset against any outstanding public debts before the remainder is transferred to the recipient's IBAN. Currently, 683 recipients are awaiting completion of the process due to pending requirements such as tax clearance or updated IBAN declarations.
