AAEON launches ultra-slim UP Xtreme PTL Edge Air Mini PC
AAEON has announced the release of the UP Xtreme PTL Edge Air, a Panther Lake-powered Mini PC that utilizes Frore Systems’ AirJet solid-state active cooling technology. This system replaces traditional fan-based cooling with ultrasonic-frequency membrane vibration technology to create high-speed pulsating airflow for heat dissipation.
By removing the need for conventional heatsinks and fans, the device is 35% thinner and 43% lighter than the previous fan-cooled UP Xtreme PTL Edge model. The new unit measures 35.8mm in height and weighs 1.57 lb. AAEON designed the ultra-slim hardware for space-constrained environments, including thin kiosk setups, low-clearance autonomous mobile robot (AMR) housing, and compact mobile healthcare units.
The device operates at less than 21 dBA, which eliminates fan-induced vibration. This makes it a more stable platform for precision equipment such as robotic controllers, sensors, and cameras. The Mini PC is powered by Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors, with options including the Intel Core Ultra 7 358H, Intel Core Ultra 7 356H, or Intel Core Ultra 5 325.
