A$AP Rocky and PUMA announce Straycat footwear collaboration

A$AP Rocky and PUMA have announced the launch of the Straycat, a new footwear silhouette inspired by a trail icon from the PUMA archive. Handpicked by Rocky, who has served as PUMA’s Creative Director for over three years, the design is based on the 2005 Ouninpohja Explorador II.

The reimagined shoe incorporates motorsport and rally racing elements, featuring rugged upgrades such as a Vibram-enhanced compound rubber outsole, tire-inspired traction, and technical detailing. This collaboration marks the first time Vibram has released a co-branded outsole. The Straycat features a unique double lacing configuration and hand-distressed materials.

The collection will be available on August 27 and includes additional items such as the T7 Panel Jersey, Fire Gloves, and an Oil Can Bag.
