Aban Ahmed, son of Atiq Ahmed, dies in Jhansi road accident

Aban Ahmed, the youngest son of deceased gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed, has died following a high-speed car accident on the Jhansi-Kanpur Highway. The collision occurred when the vehicle struck a road divider, reportedly while the occupants were traveling to meet Aban's elder brother, Ali Ahmed, in Jhansi jail.

The crash also claimed the life of Aban's companion, Sonu, and left three others seriously injured. A post-mortem report indicated that Aban sustained 23 severe injuries, including deep wounds to the head, liver, lungs, and intestines.

The Allahabad High Court granted parole to Aban's jailed brothers, Ali and Umar, to attend the funeral under strict police custody. The brothers were prohibited from addressing public gatherings or speaking to the media.

Aban was laid to rest at the Kasari-Masari cemetery in Prayagraj, in a grave located next to his father, Atiq Ahmed. The funeral was attended by a large crowd, necessitating significant police presence to maintain order.
