ABB launches Emax3 low‑voltage switch for Mexican data centers

ABB announced that its new SACE Emax3 low‑voltage switch will be introduced in Mexico. The device is aimed at high‑demand environments such as artificial‑intelligence‑driven data centers and advanced manufacturing facilities, where power consumption can be up to ten times higher than in traditional installations.

The Emax3 combines advanced protection, monitoring and control functions with a digital architecture that enables real‑time supervision of critical electrical variables. ABB officials said the product improves resilience, energy efficiency and data‑driven decision making. Miguel González, ABB Mexico’s Commercial Leader for Electrification, remarked that “Mexico is at a decisive moment in electrification, and technologies like Emax3 respond to the new reality.” Luis Torreblanca, Building Segment Manager, added that “data‑centers and smart buildings clearly show why electrical demand is becoming critical, and organizations need infrastructure that can sustain continuity, efficiency and growth.”
