ABC Trading Inc. recalls 37,000 squishy toys over choking risk

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has ordered the recall of more than 37,000 “squishy” toys due to a potential choking hazard. The recall involves specific models distributed by ABC Trading Inc., a company based in Vernon, California.

The affected products include the Squishy Dumpling (model 3655) and the Crazy Squib Ball (model 3984). These toys contain small water beads that can expand upon contact with liquids. If ingested, these beads may cause choking, intestinal obstructions, or other serious medical complications.

The recalled items were manufactured in China and sold in the United States between April and June 2026. They were available at ABC Trading locations in Los Angeles and other retailers, with unit prices ranging from $0.41 to $1.25. As of the announcement, no injuries or incidents related to these products have been reported.
