Abhijeet Dipke accuses Delhi Police of misconduct during CJP protests

Tensions have escalated in Delhi following the detention of Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) leader Abhijeet Dipke during protests demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Dipke and his family have accused the Delhi Police of causing significant emotional distress by preventing him from attending his grandmother’s funeral.

Dipke alleged that police denied his requests to use his phone to contact family members and refused to allow him to speak with a lawyer. His father, Bhagwan Dipke, stated that if the police had allowed him to travel or provided more leniency, he could have seen his mother one last time. While Delhi Police officials claimed they offered assistance and had communicated the news of the death, the family has rejected these assertions.

Security remains high across central Delhi, including Connaught Place and Jantar Mantar, as police and paramilitary forces monitor crowds to prevent gatherings. Protesters have announced further demonstrations at Jantar Mantar for Sunday, prompting authorities to remain on high alert.
