Abhishek Pathak reveals script rewrites for Drishyam The Conclusion

Director Abhishek Pathak has revealed that the production of the Hindi thriller ‘Drishyam The Conclusion’ faced significant disruption when actor Akshaye Khanna exited the project just seven days before filming was scheduled to begin.

To avoid postponing the shoot, the production team opted to rewrite portions of the screenplay that had been specifically developed around Khanna’s role. Pathak noted that while the team did not panic, they were dissatisfied with the sudden development and the necessity of the last-minute script changes.

The film, which serves as a continuation of the popular Drishyam franchise, stars Ajay Devgn as Vijay Salgaonkar. The ensemble cast also includes Tabu, Shriya Saran, Ishita Dutta, Rajat Kapoor, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Prakash Raj. The movie is slated for release on October 2, 2026, and is backed by Panorama Studios and Star Studios.
