ABIMDE expands Brazilian defense industry reach in Africa

The Brazilian defense industry concluded its participation in the Africa Aerospace and Defence (AAD) 2026 event, held at the Waterkloof Air Force Base in Pretoria, South Africa. Coordinated by the Brazilian Association of Defense and Security Material Industries (ABIMDE) with support from ApexBrasil, the national presence focused on establishing new commercial connections and increasing visibility within the African market.

The Brazilian pavilion hosted delegations from Ghana, South Africa, Kenya, Lesotho, and Botswana. Participating companies included Cinadra, CSA, IAS, M&K, and Xmobots, showcasing a diverse portfolio that includes ammunition and rocket components, aeronautical maintenance, specialized logistics, and unmanned systems. ABIMDE officials noted that the event served to strengthen South-South cooperation and demonstrate Brazilian technical capabilities to potential international partners.
