Aboitiz Group pledges P2.8 million relief as Philippines mourns Mindanao quake
A 7.8‑magnitude earthquake struck Mindanao on 13 June 2026, affecting Sarangani, General Santos City, Cotabato and Davao. The Aboitiz Group activated its #OneAboitiz initiative, mobilising staff and partner firms—including AboitizPower, Coca‑Cola Europacific Aboitiz Philippines, UnionBank and City Savings Bank—to donate food and water worth P2.8 million to displaced families.
Senator Camille Villar visited evacuation centres in General Santos City, distributing grocery packs, rice and mineral water. She said, “In a time of disaster, more than ever, we need to feel that there are people who stand united and prepared to help.” The senator also honoured Joey Puntual Deluvio, a worker who died rescuing a colleague, and confirmed earlier delivery of truckloads of rice and water with fellow senator Mark Villar.
