Abruzzo green hydrogen strategy receives scientific backing from CNR study

A study by the National Research Council (CNR) researcher Antonio Zinilli, published in the international journal Energy Policy, has provided scientific support for the Abruzzo region's green hydrogen strategy.

The research validates the regional approach to investing in hydrogen produced from renewable sources as a key component of the energy transition and decarbonization process. The regional administration views green hydrogen not only as an environmental tool to reduce emissions in complex sectors but also as a driver for industrial and infrastructural development.

Nicola Campitelli, the regional councilor for energy, stated that the CNR analysis reinforces the validity of the choices made by the region to pursue ecological transition and greater energy autonomy through low-impact technologies.
