Abu Dhabi aims to become world’s first AI-native government by 2027
At the Ai Everything Abu Dhabi summit, officials announced plans for Abu Dhabi to become the world’s first ‘AI-native’ government by 2027. The initiative aims to base all government services entirely on artificial intelligence to eliminate bureaucratic delays and manual paperwork.
The transition is currently being driven by the TAMM digital platform, which hosts over 1,200 government services. Through the platform and the AutoGov tool, AI agents process most citizen requests from start to finish. Some services, such as driver’s license renewals and birth certificate issuances, are becoming automated and proactive.
Beyond public administration, the summit also addressed the rise of physical AI. Marc Raibert, founder of Boston Dynamics, discussed the evolution of humanoid robots and their integration into industry and daily life. Projections from the Bank of America Institute suggest that annual humanoid robot shipments could grow from 90,000 in 2026 to 10 million by 2035.
