Abu Dhabi Crown Prince visits Greece to review strategic investments
Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, conducted an official visit to Greece to review major UAE-led strategic projects and investments in the renewable energy and healthcare sectors.
During the visit, Sheikh Khaled received briefings on TERNA ENERGY, a company fully acquired by Masdar in 2025 for €3.2 billion. This transaction represented the largest energy acquisition on the Athens Stock Exchange and one of the largest renewable energy acquisitions in the European Union. The discussions focused on expanding wind, solar, and hydropower capacities to support energy security and the transition to a low-emission economy.
Additionally, Sheikh Khaled reviewed developments regarding the Hellenic Healthcare Group, in which the UAE-based PureHealth acquired a 60% stake for €800 million in 2025. The group is the largest private healthcare provider in Greece and Cyprus, serving over 1.4 million patients annually.
As part of his itinerary, the Crown Prince also visited the Technical Training & Qualification Centre in Greece. He met with Emirati military students undergoing specialized technical training, emphasizing the importance of their role as national ambassadors and reaffirming the UAE leadership’s commitment to supporting their education and professional development abroad.
