Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2026 preparations intensify

Preparations are underway for the 2026 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, which is scheduled to take place at the Yas Marina Circuit from December 4 to 6, 2026. As the final round of the Formula 1 World Championship, the event is expected to feature twilight racing and significant championship implications.

Etihad Airways, the event’s title partner, recently hosted the Grand Prix trophy at its headquarters at Zayed International Airport. The airline, in partnership with Ethara, continues its long-standing involvement in the race, which began in 2009. The airline's role includes supporting international visitors and providing hospitality experiences.

Despite the official schedule placing the season finale in the Middle East, some analysts have noted regional tensions. Discussions have surfaced regarding the impact of diplomatic staffing reductions and security considerations in the region on the feasibility of the scheduled races in Qatar and Abu Dhabi.
