Abu Dhabi to host inaugural Water & Power Week in 2026

The Department of Energy – Abu Dhabi has announced the inaugural Abu Dhabi Water & Power Week (ADWPW) – Special Water Edition, scheduled for December 8-10, 2026, at the ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi. The event will be held in conjunction with the United Nations Water Conference 2026, which is co-hosted by the United Arab Emirates and Senegal.

The program features three flagship summits: Policy and Regulation, Finance and Investment, and Technology and Innovation. These summits aim to address governance frameworks, infrastructure financing, and the adoption of sustainable technologies to enhance water resilience and economic development.

Additional components of the event include the 4th Abu Dhabi Water & Power Majlis, showcases of sector technologies, and the launch of a specialized innovation platform. The department also introduced a Youth Water Program in collaboration with academic institutions to engage young talent in developing practical solutions for the sector.
