Abu Dhabi Water and Power Week and ADIPEC 2026 Summits

Overview

The Department of Energy – Abu Dhabi has announced the inaugural Abu Dhabi Water & Power Week (ADWPW) – Special Water Edition, scheduled for December 8-10, 2026, at the ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi. This event will coincide with the United Nations Water Conference 2026, co-hosted by the United Arab Emirates and Senegal. A primary focus is the ‘Investments for Water’ dialogue, targeting the $6.7 trillion financing gap for global water infrastructure and sanitation by 2030.

Preceding the water summit, ADIPEC 2026 will take place from November 2-5 at the ADNEC Centre. Held under the patronage of UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the conference aims to mobilize investment in resilient and intelligent energy systems to address rising demand and geopolitical volatility. The event is expected to host more than 2,250 companies and over 1,800 speakers, including ministers and CEOs from the energy, technology, and finance sectors.

Recent updates highlight record-breaking participation from Asia, featuring 353 companies and six dedicated country pavilions from China, India, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, and South Korea. Major industry players such as Sinopec, CNPC, CNOOC, Petronas, PTTEP, INPEX, and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries are among the participants. This increased Asian presence reflects the region's role as a primary driver of global energy demand, with projections indicating China will account for nearly half of the world's electricity demand growth through 2030, and India is expected to be the largest contributor to global energy demand growth through 2035.
