Abu Dhabi to host major 2026 energy and UN water summits
Abu Dhabi is set to host two major international summits in late 2026 focused on energy and water security.
ADIPEC 2026 will take place from November 2 to 5 at the ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi. Held under the patronage of UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the conference aims to mobilize investment in resilient energy systems amidst rising global demand and geopolitical volatility. The event expects participation from various international ministers and energy CEOs to address energy security and economic stability.
Additionally, the UAE and Senegal will co-host the 2026 UN Water Conference in Abu Dhabi from December 8 to 10. This marks only the third UN Water Conference since 1977 and the first led by two countries from the Global South. A central focus of the summit will be the ‘Investments for Water’ dialogue, designed to address the $6.7 trillion financing gap required to meet global water infrastructure and sanitation needs by 2030.
