Yemen security forces disrupt Houthi-linked terrorist cells

Security forces in Yemen have disrupted multiple terrorist plots linked to Houthi militia cells in Abyan and Aden.

In Abyan province, authorities intercepted a cell planning to plant explosive devices and carry out acts of sabotage intended to destabilize the region. Yemeni Interior Minister Ibrahim Ali Haidan praised the vigilance of the Abyan security apparatus, emphasizing the need for continued coordination to pursue those involved in such activities.

Simultaneously, in the capital of Aden, police in the Dar Sad district apprehended members of an organized terrorist cell. Investigations revealed that these individuals were recruited and trained in Houthi-controlled areas, including secret camps in the Al-Houban region of Taiz. The training reportedly included combat skills, the manufacturing of explosives, and drone technology. The cell's objectives included targeting military and security headquarters in Aden and monitoring high-ranking security officials.
