AC Milan places Pervis Estupiñán on transfer market

AC Milan has decided to put Ecuadorian defender Pervis Estupiñán on the transfer market. The decision follows an assessment by manager Ruben Amorim during the club's summer tour in Australia and Indonesia, where the player failed to meet the tactical requirements and intensity levels sought by the Portuguese coach.

Estupiñán, who previously played for Brighton and Villarreal, joined AC Milan on a five-year contract last summer. A previous attempt to facilitate a move to Aston Villa reportedly collapsed due to a two-million-euro valuation gap. However, Aston Villa manager Unai Emery remains a known admirer of the player, which could influence future negotiations.

Agent Jorge Mendes has been tasked with finding a new club for the 28-year-old. Potential destinations include Spain, Portugal, or England. AC Milan has set an initial valuation of approximately €17 million, though the club may be willing to negotiate lower to free up wages and squad space before the transfer window closes.
