AC Milan reports 24 million euro loss despite strong turnover
AC Milan has reported a loss of 24 million euros for the 2025-26 fiscal year, marking the first deficit under owner Gerry Cardinale. This follows three consecutive years of profit, including 6 million euros in 2022-23, 4 million in 2023-24, and 3 million in 2024-25.
Despite the loss, the club's gross turnover remained at 465 million euros, supported by significant player trading activity. This represents only a 6% decrease compared to the previous season. Key growth drivers included sponsorship revenues, which exceeded 100 million euros for the first time in the club's history, and increased stadium income driven by an average attendance of over 72,000 per match.
The deficit is considered contained and is absorbed by a net equity of 176 million euros as of June 30, 2026, bolstered by previous equity injections from Elliott and RedBird. The financial statements are scheduled for shareholder approval in October.
