Academico de Viseu faces Estoril Praia in Primeira Liga clash

Academico de Viseu prepares to host Estoril Praia at Estadio do Fontelo for the eighth round of the Primeira Liga. The hosts enter the match seeking a fourth consecutive victory after a strong run that includes recent wins against Gil Vicente, Vitoria de Guimaraes, and Estrela Amadora.

Academico de Viseu currently sits seventh in the standings with 11 points. In contrast, Estoril Praia occupies the bottom of the table with only two points from seven matches. Despite their low ranking, Academico coach Bruno Pinheiro has cautioned his team against complacency, noting that Estoril possesses high-quality individual players and will likely play with increased aggression and tactical changes to secure their first win of the season.

Pinheiro emphasized that the current league table does not fully reflect the quality of the Estoril squad and warned that the recent international break may have allowed the visitors to strengthen their side.
