Academics analyze the essayist work of Jorge Luis Borges

Researchers Judith Podlubne and Alberto Giordano from the Universidad Nacional de Rosario, Argentina, conducted seminars focused on the essayist side of writer Jorge Luis Borges. Organized by the Universidad de Talca in Chile, the masterclass titled “Borges en el aula: Formas del ensayo” was part of the research project “El archivo latinoamericano en expansión”.

The seminars, held at the Santiago Campus and in Talca, targeted researchers and secondary school teachers. The sessions aimed to highlight Borges’s reflective and adventurous essay writing, a facet often overshadowed by his famous fiction. Participants explored how Borges experimented with diverse themes and writing styles, using his brief texts as pedagogical tools.
