Cultural commemorations of Argentine icons

Overview

Buenos Aires is hosting extensive cultural programs to honor influential Argentine figures Charly García and Jorge Luis Borges. Events for García include the ‘Semana Charly’ celebration, featuring live concerts, piano performances, and a photographic retrospective at the Museo de la Ciudad.

Simultaneously, the sixth edition of the Festival Borges is marking the 40th anniversary of the writer’s death through in-person lectures and virtual sessions involving international participants. This academic focus has extended to research seminars organized by the Universidad de Talca in Chile, where scholars analyzed Borges’s essay writing as a pedagogical tool for researchers and teachers.
