Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic raided by police

Criminal investigators from the National Center Against Organized Crime (NCOZ) conducted a raid at the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic building on Národní třída in Prague.

The investigation is currently in the preliminary verification stage. According to the Prague Municipal State Prosecutor's Office, no criminal prosecution has been initiated and no individuals have been charged at this time.

Reports indicate the probe concerns suspicions of fictitious work agreements and invoices for services that were never performed. Sources suggest the investigation involves amounts exceeding 10 million CZK. The Academy of Sciences stated it is providing full cooperation to the police but will not comment further on the circumstances of the raid.
