Acadian Ambulance wins Ouachita contract renewal and AHA EMS awards

Acadian Ambulance was selected to continue providing emergency medical services to Ouachita Parish, including the cities of Monroe and West Monroe, after a competitive three‑bid process. The Ouachita Council of Governments approved a new five‑year contract on July 27, 2026 that will run through December 31, 2026, with Regional Vice President Taylor Richard praising the partnership and community involvement.

Four Acadian districts received the American Heart Association’s Mission: Lifeline® EMS awards for 2025 clinical performance. The Northeast Louisiana district (covering Ouachita Parish) and the Southwest Louisiana district earned Silver awards, while the Hub City and Northshore districts secured Bronze awards. The honors recognize rapid, evidence‑based care for severe heart attacks and strokes, highlighting the agency’s training, coordination with hospitals and pre‑hospital interventions.
