BAB6 highway accident near Horrenberg caused by truck tire blowout

A serious traffic accident occurred on the BAB6 highway near Horrenberg in the direction of Mannheim due to a tire blowout on a semi-trailer truck. The blowout caused a 52-year-old driver's vehicle to veer into the middle lane, resulting in a minor collision with another semi-trailer.

The initial truck then moved into the far left lane, where it collided with an Audi. The impact caused the Audi to lift off the ground and come to a stop against the concrete barrier. The 34-year-old driver of the Audi sustained only minor injuries but was taken to a nearby hospital for medical examination. Total damages are estimated at approximately 80,000 EUR. Emergency services, including a rescue helicopter, were deployed, and the roadway was temporarily closed for accident investigation.
