ACCIONA experts discuss future infrastructure development

A panel of experts organized by Prensa Ibérica and ACCIONA addressed the evolving role of infrastructure in creating social well-being and environmental value. The discussion focused on how future engineering and construction projects must go beyond mere connectivity to help recover natural spaces, reduce emissions, anticipate climate risks, and improve urban habitability.

Participants included Juan Gil from ACCIONA, Marcos Martínez Piélago from ICEX Invest in Spain, Gabriel Guggisberg from ProChile Madrid, and Silvia Seperack, the Economic and Commercial Counselor for Peru in Madrid. The experts emphasized that successful infrastructure begins with transparent public decisions, technical planning, and budgeting to mitigate risks such as material price fluctuations, supply chain disruptions, and administrative delays.
