Achilles and Honda announce Civic Type R collaboration shoes

Achilles has announced a collaboration with Honda to release a special edition of its 'Shunsoku' children's footwear line, inspired by the Honda 'Civic Type R' sports model. The shoes are based on the 'Ultima Cheetah' model and incorporate design elements from the vehicle, including the Type R logo on the toe, a red emblem on the heel, and red stitching inspired by interior upholstery.

The collection will be available in three colors: Championship White, Frame Red, and Racing Blue Pearl. Functional features include an 'Inner Flex System' in the midsole to support propulsion, asymmetrical soles, and enhanced rubber grip on the sides to assist with cornering.

Pre-orders begin on August 18, 2026, via the Achilles web shop, with general sales starting October 6, 2026. The shoes are priced at 6,490 yen. Pre-sales will also be held at 'Enjoy Honda Fukuoka' and 'Enjoy Honda Miyagi' events, which will feature a Shunsoku-wrapped car.
